Decoding and Recoding Tradition –

New materials and methods for Textiles

This will be a virtual lecture, via Zoom.

 

Anne is a Textile design, colour and materials specialist with national and international experience in research-based design, product development, manufacture and student centred education. Her vision for RCA textiles is multivalent and grounded in real-world solutions, with excellence in making & production, allied to research in new processes, technologies and materials.
Anne will explain how, under her leadership, the Textiles Programme has recently established the ‘Soft Systems’ research group, who focus on textile innovation and merge aspects of new materials science with design, to develop a platform of novel, multi sensory textiles that explore exciting new applications and routes to market.
